Final Order Entered: 1. The rates set forth in the non-unanimous Settlement and implemented on an interim basis pursuant to the March 20, 2018 Order are denied. 2. The rates and charges in Appendix G, attached hereto, are fair, just, and reasonable for KU to charge for service rendered on and after the date of this Order. 3. The rates and charges in Appendix H, attached hereto, are fair, just, and reasonable for LG&E to charge for service rendered by on and after the date of this Order. 4. Within 20 days of the date of entry of this Order, each of KU and LG&E shall file with the Commission, using the Commission's electronic Tariff Filing System, its revised tariffs as set forth in this Order reflecting that they were approved pursuant to this Order. 5. Within 30 days of the date of this Order, KU/LG&E shall file a plan to true up the difference between the interim surcharges effective April 1, 2018, and those that would have been in effect under the calculations in this Order. 6. Any documents filed in the future pursuant to ordering paragraph 5 shall reference this case number and shall be retained in the post-case correspondence file. 7. This case is now closed and removed from the Commission's docket. |

Order Entered: 1. KU/LG&E's petition for rehearing is granted on the limited issues of capitalization and cost of capital. 2. The Order entered on March 20, 2018, is amended to the limited extent that ordering paragraphs 1, 2, and 3 that approved new rates and required the filing of revised tariffs to reflect those rates, are suspended. 3. Within 20 days of the date of entry of this Order, KU and LG&E shall separately file with the Commission, using the Commission's electronic Tariff Filing System, revised tariffs reflecting the rates and charges set forth in the Offer, using the allocation to LG&E's gas operations as modified by the Commission's Order, and designating those rates and charges as interim. 4. Order Entered: 1. This case is opened to investigate KIUC's complaint, which is transferred from Case No. 2017-00477, regarding the impacts of the federal corporate tax rate reduction on the rates of KU/LG&E. 2. The record in Case No. 2017-00477 is incorporated by reference. 3. KU/LG&E, KIUC, and the Attorney General are made parties to this case and, pursuant to 807 KAR 5:001, Section 8(9), within seven days of entry of this Order, each shall file a written statement, with a copy to parties of record, that certifies that it, or its authorized agent, possesses the facilities to receive electronic transmissions and sets forth the electronic mail address to which all electronic notices and messages related to this proceeding should be served. 4. If a party objects to the use of electronic filing procedures and the Commission determines that good cause exists to excuse that party from the use of electronic filing procedures, service of documents on that party and by that party shall be made in accordance with 807 KAR 5:001, Section 4(8). 5. Should documents of any kind be filed with the Commission in the course of this proceeding, the documents shall also be served on all parties of record. A party filing a paper containing personal information shall, in accordance with 807 KAR 5:001, Section 4(10), encrypt or redact the paper so that personal information cannot be read. |
