Public Service Commission Water Training

KRS 74.020(8) requires newly appointed water district commissioners to complete 12 hours of training that is either provided or conducted by the Public Service Commission within 12 months of their initial appointment.

Cost of Attendance
  • $75/person
  • Fees can be applied to any training occurring in the year but not transferable to the following calendar year.

Who Needs Training?
  • Newly appointed water district commissioners are required to complete 12 hours of PSC administered water training within 12 months of appointment.
  • Returning water district commissioners who make more than $3,600 annually are required to complete 6 hours of PSC or PSC approved training per year.
  • Operators may receive up to 6 hours per day attended of DOW Continuing Education Credits.
  • Fees can be applied to any training occurring in the year but not transferable to the following calendar year.
