Final Order Entered: 1. The charges and credits applied by LG&E through the FAC for the period from November 1, 2022, through October 31, 2024, are approved. 2. LG&E’s proposed base fuel cost of $0.02999 per kWh is denied. 3. Beginning with the expense month of September 2026, LG&E shall use a FAC rate based upon a base fuel cost of $0.02987 per kWh. 4. LG&E shall increase its base energy rates by $0.00127 per kWh for service rendered on and after September 1, 2026, to reflect the increase of $0.00127 per kWh to LG&E’s base fuel costs, which is the differential between the prior base fuel cost of $0.02860 per kWh and the new base fuel cost of $0.02987 per kWh. 5. Within 20 days of the date of this Order, LG&E shall file, using the Commission's electronic Tariff Filing System, its revised tariff sheets with the Commission setting out the increase in its base energy rates discussed herein, and reflecting that they were approved pursuant to this Order. 6. LG&E’s January 23, 2026 petition for confidential protection is granted. 7. Attachment PSC Q4 and Attachment PSC Q34 to KU’s responses to Staff’s First Request for Information, Items 4 and 34 are granted confidential treatment by this Order and shall not be placed in the public record or made available for public inspection for five years or until further order of this Commission. 8. LG&E’s February 20, 2026 petition for confidential protection is granted. |

Order Entered: 1. The procedural schedule set forth in Appendix A to this Order shall be followed. 2. The Commission directs the parties to the Commission’s July 22, 2021 Order in Case No. 2020-00085 regarding filings with the Commission. 3. On or before the date set forth in the procedural schedule, LG&E shall file its responses to the Commission Staff’s request for information, attached to this Order as Appendix B. 4. LG&E shall respond to any additional requests for information propounded by Commission Staff as provided in those requests. 5. LG&E shall provide its response to the request for information issued by Commission Staff in full. In providing its responses, LG&E shall refrain from referring back to a similar question asked in a prior six-month period FAC review case. LG&E may refer to a response filed in a prior FAC review case but shall still furnish all of the requested information and make note if the response merits no change. Should the response merit change, then LG&E may reference the response provided in a prior six-month review case and explain in detail what changes have occurred since the response was given. 6. LG&E shall file with the Commission, no later than the date set forth in the procedural schedule attached as Appendix A, written direct testimony of the witnesses LG&E intends to call at the scheduled hearing in this matter. |
