After reading the proposed rate increase for Kentucky Utilities, I must register my strong disagreement with the increase in the base service charge per month. from $10.75 to $18.00. this is more than a 60% increase, for which the consumer has no alternative. I don't have a problem with the proposed energy charge increase from $0.07744 to $0.08057. This is only a 4% increase, and the consumer can adjust energy usage in order to reduce our electric bills.  However, to adjust the base charge by over 60% does not leave a consumer with much room for adjustment. Please do not allow the base charge to be increased as much as the proposal.
