Comment: Jackson Energy Cooperatives service territory was hit with a sever line of thunderstorms around 10:50PM on July 27th, 2026. High winds, heavy rain and lightning caused widespread power outages to Jackson, Laurel, Rockcastle, Clay and Estill Counties.
