75th Anniversary Information

This year, the Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC) completes the first 75 years of its service to the citizens of the Commonwealth.

The PSC was established in 1934 by the Kentucky General Assembly to regulate and oversee public utilities. While the extent and nature of the PSC’s jurisdiction have changed over the years, its mission has remained constant: doing all it can to see that Kentuckians receive safe and reliable utility service at fair, just and reasonable rates.
